Cerritos Baseball (2012): Made 13 appearances and made two starts on the year… Went 0-2 and pitched in 25.1 innings with an 8.53 ERA with 22 strikeouts… Had five appearances where he didn’t allow any runs, including a three-inning relief showing in his first game and struck out three batters against Los Angeles Valley College…..

Cerritos Football (2011): Was a reserve linebacker and special teams player… Posted five tackles on the year and recovered a fumble against Palomar College…..

Santa Fe HS: Selected the Del Rio League Pitcher of the Year and 1^st Team all-league as a senior… Helped the team win the league championship his junior year when he was a 2^nd Team all-league selection… Earned honorable mention recognition as a sophomore… Spent four years on the baseball team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he threw a no-hitter against Whittier High and struck out 10 batters… Is working on a minor in mechanical engineering… Would like to transfer to the University of Oregon, USC or Boise State University… His brother Chris (19) is his teammate this season… Likes to work out in his spare time… Nicknamed “G”… Is the son of Auggie and Patty Esparza… Born in Los Angeles, CA on October 1, 1993…..
