Cerritos Baseball (2012): Appeared in 36 games and made 35 starts with 15 of them in right field, 12 as DH and eight at first base… Batted .250 (32-for-128) with a team-high RBI to go along with 10 doubles and a pair of triples… Also drew 11 walks and was hit by five pitches… Went 3-for-4 with four RBI and a triple against Pasadena City College, while he drove in three runs in two different games against Los Angeles Valley College… Had 10 multiple-hit games, including a four-game hitting streak (8-for-15) that propelled his average from .182 to .292… Was 6-for-12 with the bases loaded…..

Bellflower HS: Named 1st Team All-Suburban League as a pitcher his senior year… Voted his team’s Pitcher of the Year… Was coached by former Cerritos College player Keith Tripp…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he threw a one-hitter against Norwalk High and struck out 13 batters… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… His brother Bobby (24) played baseball at Bellflower High… Likes to play baseball in his spare time… Used to be a BMX racer… Has one other sibling – Chris (14)… Is the son of Robert and Sherry Renteria… Born in Bellflower, CA on June 6, 1993…..
