Cerritos College Baseball (2022): Will spend the season as a red-shirt.....

Golden West Baseball (2020 - COVID-19 Season): Appeared in 17 games and batted .283 with three doubles and seven RBI… Went 2-for-4 with a double against Cerritos and went 5-for-9 in a two-game series against Bakersfield College…..

Golden West Baseball (2018): Appeared in 37 games and batted .302 with nine doubles, a home run and 19 RBI… Also drew 18 walks and stole four bases… Was solid behind the plate and posted a .989 fielding percentage and threw out 10-of-18 base stealers… Had four three-hit games, while he drove in a season-high four runs against Orange Coast College… Went a combined 0-for-5 in two games against Cerritos…..

Chico State University: Attended the school, but did not play baseball…..

Cypress HS: Was selected to play in an All-Orange County All-Star game after his senior season… Helped the team win three straight Empire League championships… Spent four seasons on the baseball team…..

Personal: Is working on a double major with Criminal Justice, as well as a minor in Liberal Arts… His brother Brandon (27) played for the Chicago White Sox and now plays in professionally in Mexico… Hobbies include working out… Nicknamed “Marquez”… Has three other siblings – Daisy (26), Matthew (16) and Mia (14)… Is the son of Luis and Lupita Marquez… Born on May 26, 1999…..
