Cerritos Football (2011): Served as a red-shirt… Came to Cerritos as a quarterback, but is being moved to tight end…..

La Serna HS: Named his school’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior, while also earning the Del Rio League’s Most Valuable Player after leading the league in passing with over 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns… Was a four-year Scholar-Athlete… Completed 58% of his passes and rushed for over 200 yards… Also earned 1st Team All-CIF and 1st Team all-league, while he received his team’s Offensive MVP Award and earned the Earnie Cooper Memorial Scholarship Award… Team won the league championship his senior year and reached the Southeast Division semi-finals… Was the starting quarterback in the 605 All-Star Game… As a junior, he led the league in passing, while being voted the league’s MVP and 1st Team all-league… Passed for over 1,500 yards… Spent four years on the football team and was also on the basketball team for one season… As a senior, he was a 1st Team all-league pick and All-Area honorable mention selection, while serving as their captain and helped them win the league championship… Selected to play in the Sargents All-Star Game…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he completed 10-of-13 passes for four touchdowns and rushed for another touchdown against California High, as well as when the team defeated Whittier High on the last play of the game… Would like to transfer to UCLA or any other school that offers him a scholarship… Aspires to be a high school teacher and coach… Likes to play the guitar in his spare time… Nicknamed “Bueno”… Has four siblings – Jack (30), Vanessa (28), Daniel (26) and Rebecca (25)… Is the son of Alfred and Patty Buenrostro… Born in Whittier, CA on December 22, 1992…..
