Cerritos Track & Field (2010): Came in ninth place in the shot put at the Southern California Championships after he finished third in the South Coast Conference Championships… Also advanced to the Southern California Championships in the discus and placed 10^th after he came in sixth at the conference championships… Placed seventh in the conference championships in the hammer… Posted personal best distances in the shot put (48’ 6½”), discus (157’ 8”), hammer (130’) and javelin (138’ 1”)…..

Fort Lauderdale (FL) HS: Named 1^st Team All-State in the discus and shot put as a senior after earning 3^rd Team All-State recognition in the discus as a junior… Placed fifth in the state championships in both events as a senior, while he finished in fifth in the shot put and ninth in the discus as a junior… Was the district runner-up as a sophomore in the shot put… Turned in a personal best distance in the shot put (57’) and discus (181’)… Spent three years on the track and field team, along with two on the football team and one on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he posted 20 tackles, three forced fumbles, as well as a sack, fumble recovery, blocked field goal, blocked punt and scored a touchdown against Pompano Beach (FL) High… Would like to transfer to Florida A&M University, Georgia Tech University or Virginia Tech University and aspires to be a rehabilitation therapist… Likes to cook and play video games… Is active in community service in his spare time… Nicknamed “Florida Boy” and “Sam”… Is the son of Patricia Carrington… Born in Broward County, FL on February 10, 1991…..
