Entering his sixth season (12th overall) in a multi-functioning role, Cliff Parks will serve as the team’s wide receivers coach and head of student success. This is his second stint on the staff, as he served as a wide receivers coach from 1997-2001. A record-breaking wide receiver for the Falcons, Parks still holds the record for most receiving yards in a game (234), which he accomplished in 10 receptions against Mt. San Antonio College in 1991. He finished the year with 686 receiving yards and was a 1st Team all-conference selection, while also being voted Most Outstanding Offensive Back, Most Improved Player and Most Inspirational Player by his teammates.
Parks transferred to Louisiana Tech University and was a 2nd Team all-conference selection, while garnering the Coaches Award and was their captain. A graduate of Paramount High, where he was a 1st Team all-league pick, and also was their Most Inspirational Player and captain. Parks also led them to consecutive CIF Championships. He also served as the freshman basketball coach at Paramount High from 1997-98 and led them to an 18-2 record.
Parks earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University in 1994 and went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling from LaVerne University in 2003.
Parks (53) has also served as the Director of High School Programs for Scholar Baller and Director of Athletes at Think Initiative.
His son C.J. (24), was a two-year starting wide receiver for the Falcons, signed a National Letter of Intent with Eastern Michigan University, and graduated from Missouri Western University, and also has a daughter, Sahmia (32). Parks also welcomed his first grandson, Ezrah J. DeWitt.
Parks and his bride Toni were married on August 17, 2024.
