Starting his third season on the Falcon coach staff, Fred Lavulo was a starting offensive lineman at the University of Nevada his senior year in 2013. Spending the majority of his career as a defensive lineman, Lavulo made the difficult adjustment and thrived in the position for the Wolfpack. He played in 11 games his junior year as a defensive lineman for the University of Nevada. Prior to signing with Nevada, Lavulo was a two-year starter on the defensive line for the Falcons and was named 2nd Team All-Conference his sophomore season, In that year, he also received the team’s Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman and Most Improved Player after posting 24 tackles. As a freshman, he finished with 17 tackles.
Lavulo played his high school football at Cottonwood (UT) High and was named 1st Team All-State as a senior, while also competing on the wrestling at rugby teams.
Lavulo and his wife Taimane have three children – Anan, Zion and ‘Unga.
