Returning to the coaching staff is former Cerritos College fullback Lou Porch, who will begin his sixth overall season. In his sophomore year, Porch was an All-South Coast Conference selection and received the Z-Man Award, as well as being a team captain, as the Falcons played in the Strawberry Bowl.

Porch earned a scholarship to Texas Christian University, where he was a two-year letterman. During his senior year in 1998, the Horned Frogs completed one of the most impressive turn-arounds in college football, as they reached a bowl game and defeated USC in the Sun Bowl.

In addition to his coaching assignment, Porch is also a physical education teacher at Bellflower High. A resident of Lakewood, Porch, 48, and his wife Kristyn have three sons, Lou Jr. (24), Gavin (18), who will be a freshman wide receiver with the Falcons, and Devin (16), a baseball player at Los Alamitos Hight. Porch earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from TCU and a Master’s degree in Education from National University.
