Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2017): Came in 109th place at the Southern California Championships with a time of 23:21.1, while his time of 23:19.4 at the South Coast Conference Championships put him in 40th place… At the Mt. San Antonio Invitational, he finished in 59th place with a time of 23:093, and took 47th place at the Triton Classic with a clocking of 28:40.7… Running at the UNLV Invitational, he posted a time of 20:09, which put him in 23rd place, earned 112th place with his time of 23:25.9… Was 66th at the Fresno Invitational with his time of 22:44.3 and was 17th at the Redlands Invitational in a time of 20:22.6…..

Norwalk HS: Voted his team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and junior and helped the team win the league championship his sophomore season… Posted a personal best time of 16:05 over a 5K course… Received the teams Most Inspirational Player his senior and sophomore seasons… As a member of the track and field team, he specialized in the 800 meters (2:05.0), 1600 meters (4:38.0) and 3200 meters (10:20.0)…..

Personal: Is working on a double major with natural sciences… Most memorable moment were when he posted his personal best time in cross country at the CIF Prelims and when he broke 17:00 for the first time… Would like to transfer to either Cal State Long Beach or Cal State Los Angeles… Aspires to be an anesthesiologist… Nicknamed “Santiago”… Hobbies include cycling… Has one sister – Katherine (21)… Is the son of Glenda Cano… Born in Whittier, CA on December 1, 1999…..
