Competing at the UCLA Legends Invitational over the weekend, the Cerritos College men's track and field team finished in ninth place out of 18 schools. The Falcons will now host the Southern California Decathlon Championships on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Falcons did earn one first place finish among non-Division I entries, as sophomore Cristhian Macias (Gardena HS) captured the 1500 meters with a time of 4:04.43, while teammate Luis Munoz (Downey HS) finished in third place with a clocking of 4:13.17. Sophomore pole vaulter Andrew Fowler (Los Alamitos HS) earned second place with a height of 4.45 meters, with sophomore thrower Jorge Bergara (Salesian HS) taking second place in the hammer (44.12 meters) and fifth in the shot put (12.08 meters)
