Cerritos College Men’s Track & Field (2017): Qualified for the Southern California Prelims in the 1500 meters (4:01:10) after placing fifth at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 800 meters (1:54.98) and 3000 meters (9:20.83) during the season…..

Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2017): Led the team at the CCCAA State Championships with a 44th place finish of 21:24.8, while he took 28th place at the Southern California Championships with a time of 22:05.4… Named 1st Team All-South Coast Conference after his sixth place time of 21:44.6… Came in 11th place at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational with his time of 21:41.8, while he checked in with a 17th place time of 27:15.3 at the Triton Classic… Led the team at the UNLV Invitational with a 12th place time of 19:37, while his 10th place finish in 21:46.7 at the SoCal Preview Meet also led the team…..

Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2016): Posted a 77th place time of 21:43.9 at the CCCAA State Championships, while his time of 21:52.4 earned him 59th place at the Southern California Championships… Finished in 23rd place at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 21:05.1, while placing fifth at the St. Joseph’s (NY) Invitational with an 8K time of 27:24.3… Came in 21st place in a time of 21:31.11 at the San Bernardino Valley Invitational, with his time of 22:02.5 putting him in 24th place at the Central Park Classic… Was 74th at the SoCal Preview Meet with a time of 22:23.6, while he took 108th overall at the Fresno Invitational in a time of 22:22.7… Came in 32nd place at the Cal Baptist Invitational in a time of 20:31.0…..

Schurr HS: Helped lead the team to three straight Almont League cross country championships… Posted a personal best time of 15:20 over a three-mile course his senior year… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and sophomore… While on the track and field team, he specialized in the 400 meters (52.10), 800 meters (1:55.42) and 1600 meters (4:28.0)… Named the league’s Most Valuable Player as a senior… Won the Almont League championship in the 800 meters, 1600 meters and ran a leg of the 4x400 meters as a senior and sophomore… Reached the CIF Finals as a senior and placed eighth… Spent three years on the cross country and track and field teams, as well as one season on the badminton team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he posted his personal best time in the 800 meters at the league championships… Would like to transfer to UCLA… His mother ran track while growing up in Mexico… Hobbies include badminton and knitting… Has two siblings – Demian (17) and Beatriz (14)… Is the son of Pedro Sanchez and Francisca Lopez… Born in Lynwood, CA on June 11, 1998…..
