Bell Gardens HS: Received the Coaches Award as a senior and was their Rookie of the Year his junior season… Qualified for the CIF Prelims as a junior… Specialized in the shot put (34’ 4”) and discus (101’)… While on the cross country team, he turned in a personal best time of 20:12 over a three-mile course… Spent three years on the track and field team and two seasons with the cross country team…..
