West Torrance HS: Qualified for the Masters Meet as a senior at 140 pounds after earning All-CIF, All-Area and All-Bay League honors… Went 32-6 his senior year and posted a 30-8 record as a junior… Was also an All-Area pick as a junior and named all-league his junior and sophomore years…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he qualified for the Masters Meet… Would like to transfer to Arizona State University and aspires to be either a personal trainer or physical therapist… His father played professional baseball in Japan… Likes to draw in his spare time… Nicknamed “Yuuk Dog”… Has two siblings – Maki (20) and Rika (16)… Is the son of Masa and Mamike Murai… Born in Torrance, CA on March 10, 1994…..
