Cerritos College Wrestling (2011): Went 11-10 at 174 pounds and was 1-0 at 184 pounds on the year… Came in second place at the Santa Ana Tournament…..

Norwalk HS: Won the CIF championship at 171 pounds as a senior after placing third as a junior… Placed third at the CIF Championships… Was a two-time Suburban League champion and named his team’s Most Valuable Player both seasons… Registered a 43-7 record his senior season and was 37-9 as a junior… Won the Long Beach Tournament, while he came in second place at the Zinkin Classic, seventh place at the Five Counties Tournament and third at the Asics SoCal Challenge… Spent four years on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he was seeded second at the CIF Championships and won the title… Aspires to be a nurse practitioner… Hobbies include lifting weights… Nicknamed “Rene”… Is the son of Eddie and Sally Peterson… Born in Montebello, CA on October 31, 1993…..
