Cerritos College Track & Field (2011): Placed eighth at the State Championships in the hammer after coming in fifth place in the Southern California Championships with a personal best throw of 44.44 meters… Also came in fourth place at the South Coast Conference Championships in the hammer and eighth place in the discus (33.00 meters)… Recorded a season best toss of 10.60 meters in the shot put…..

El Rancho HS: Was a Scholar-Athlete her senior season and named 1st Team All-Del Rio League… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and their Field Athlete of the Year her sophomore season… Posted a season-best distance of 34’ 11” in the shot put and 110’ in the discus… Earned 1st Team All-CIF honors in track three seasons in a row… Was also on the basketball team and was a 1st Team All-Del Rio League selection as a senior, as well as being voted the team’s Most Valuable Player… Was an all-league Honorable Mention choice her junior year…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she won two league championships… Would like to transfer to UC Irvine… Aspires to be a pediatrician… Hobbies include eating… Her father competed on the basketball and track and field teams at his high school in France… Has one sibling – Khadidga (17)… Is the daughter of Yaya Diakite and Maria Talavera… Born in Los Angeles, CA on September 1, 1992…..
