Cerritos College Track & Field (2012): Came in ninth place in the hammer at the State Championships after placing sixth in the Southern California Championships and second at the South Coast Conference Championships… Placed seventh in the discus at the conference championships… Posted personal best distances in the hammer (43.50 meters), discus (35.44 meters) and shot put (9.21 meters)…..

Marina HS: Qualified for the CIF Prelims in the discus (115’) as a senior after qualifying in the shot put (34’) her junior season… Spent two years on the track and field team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she recorded her personal best discus throw as a senior… Would like to transfer to either Cal State Long Beach or Cal State Fullerton and aspires to be a psychiatric social worker… Her father played baseball at Cal State Long Beach… Likes to go dancing in her spare time… Nicknamed “Creative Carissa”… Has one sister – Gillian (16), who is on the soccer team at Marina High… Is the daughter of Bryan and Denise English… Born in Long Beach, CA on April 20, 1993…..
