With all the scoring coming in the first half, the Cerritos College men's soccer team posted a 4-1 South Coast Conference South Division win over host Los Angeles Harbor College on Friday night. The win by the Falcons keeps them unbeaten on the season at 8-0-3, while they are 3-0-0 in the division. They will host Long Beach City College on Tuesday in a 2:00 p.m. divisional game.

The Falcons jumped on the scoreboard in the second minute when freshman Christian Perez (Paramount HS) scored for the second game in a row, thanks to a nice pass from sophomore Marc Calderon (Elizabeth Learning Center HS). The Seahawks (1-7-3, 0-3-0) tied the game just a minute later, but that didn't deter Cerritos from keeping up the offensive pressure. Over a span of two minutes, sophomore Luis Garcia (La Habra HS) and Perez scored, with sophomore Adrian Becerra (Morningside HS) accounting for the assist on both goals. The 3-1 lead by the Falcons became a 4-1 advantage in the 26th minute, with freshman Carlos Payeras (Lennox Academy HS) producing his fourth goal of the season, with Calderon collecting his second assist of the half.

The goalkeeper tandem of freshman Jordan Aldama (North Torrance HS) and Hernan Perez (Pioneer HS) made a combined 15 saves to secure the win. Aldama, who played the first 45 minutes, gave up the lone goal and turned away six shots, with Perez posting a season-high nine saves to keep the team unbeaten. As a team, Cerritos took 23 shots, with 10 of them on goal.
