Playing one of the tougher teams in Southern California on the road Wednesday, the Cerritos College men's water team posted a 7-5 non-conference win against Los Angeles Valley College. The Falcons (8-1) will get a week off before the compete in the San Diego Mesa Tournament next weekend.

Relying on the goal scoring of sophomore Angel Rojas (Colegio Fray Luis Amigo, Venezuela), Cerritos was able to overcome 18 turnovers in the win over the Monarchs. In addition to the four goals by Rojas, Cerritos received a goal and four steals from freshman Salvador Orozco, while freshman goalkeeper Jason Curiel (El Rancho HS), who also assisted on a pair of goals, made seven saves. The team also received goals from Orozco, sophomore Israel Rodriguez (Whittier HS) and freshman Ever Resendiz (Colegio de Bachilleres 6, Mexico).
