Downey HS: Specialized in the 200 meters (25.47), 400 meters (54.00), 800 meters (2:11.0) and 1600 meters (5:04.0)… While on the football team, he was a member of their Suburban League championship team as a senior and their CIF Division IV championship team his junior season… Spent two years on the track and field team and four seasons on the football team…..
