Lakewood HS: Named the cross country team’s Most Valuable Player all four seasons… Posted a personal best time of 15:35 over three miles in his senior season… Spent four years on the cross country, track and field and soccer teams… While on the track and field team, he was named their Distance Runner of the Year and specialized in the 1600 meters (4:35), where he came in fifth place at the Moore League championships…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he turned in a time of 15:40 at the Woodbridge Invitational his sophomore year… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… His brother Chris (21) competed in track and field at UC San Diego… Likes to play soccer in his spare time… Is the son of Wilmer and Eva Pleitez… Born in Long Beach, CA on July 29, 1994…..
