As recently as 2023, Miranda Diaz was the starting shortstop for the Falcons, as they finished in third place at the 3C2A State Championships. Diaz, who was selected to the All-State Tournament Team, was also voted the team’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. On the season, Diaz batted .322 with seven doubles, two triples, a home run and 27 RBI. She opened the season with a 10-game hitting streak and ended her Cerritos career with an 11-game hitting streak. As a freshman, Diaz batted .287 with six doubles, one home run, 16 walks and 22 RBI.

A graduate of California High, Diaz spent four seasons on the softball team.

Diaz, 22, earned her AA Degree in Nursing from Cerritos in 2023 and still has two years of playing eligibility remaining.
