Joining the Falcon coaching staff for her first season is Rose Boatner, who spent the 2014-15 season as an assistant coach at Southern University at New Orleans, where she spent two seasons. That team won the GCAC Tournament championship and finished with a 23-5 record. A former Falcon (2009-11), Boatner was a two-time 1st Team All-South Coast Conference selection and still ranks second in school history for most rebounds in a career (616). Her 310 boards during her freshman year are still the sixth most, while her sophomore season total of 306 are eighth best in school history. Boatner also pulled down 25 rebounds against El Camino College, which is the second most in a game in school history.

Boatner transferred to Southern University at New Orleans and was a 1st Team all-conference selection, while earning 2nd Team all-conference on defense. She helped lead them to the GCAC Conference championship. A product of Centennial High, Boatner was also helped her team win the Pioneer League championship as a senior.

Boatner earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Substance Abuse from Southern University at New Orleans in 2016. Boatner, 25, is single and lives in Compton.
