Cerritos College Wrestling (2023): Qualified for the 3C2A State Championships at 184 pounds, but dropped both of his matches and did not place… Came in second place at the Southern California Championships and finished the season with a 20-12 record… Pinned his final three opponents at the Bill Musick Tournament and came in third place… Also picked up five wins at the Cuesta Tournament in the consolation rounds and advanced to the third place match… Won three consolation round matches at the Santa Ana Tournament and finished in sixth place… Competed in the Embry Riddle Tournament during the season…..

Pacifica HS: Was a two-time 1st Team All-Empire League selection and earned 2nd Team honors as a freshman… Named All-Orange County as a senior and was his team’s Most Valuable Player and captain his senior and junior seasons… Placed second at the CIF Championships at 182 pounds, while he also won the Scott Davis Memorial Tournament and San Clemente Rotary Tournament… Came in second place at the Edison Beach Bash and Bob Bellot Classic… Posted a 31-10 record at 182 pounds with 25 pins his senior season after finishing with a 20-7 record and 17 pins his junior season… Did not have a sophomore year due to Covid… Spent four years on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he won his CIF semifinal match, which sent him to the championship match… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… Aspires to be an engineer… Hobbies include, reading manga and anime books… Has a blue belt in jiu-jitsu… Nicknamed “Ben”… Has one sister – Hannah (19)… Is the son of David and Kate Setum… Born in Orange, CA on March 1, 2005…..
