Joining the Cerritos College women’s soccer coaching staff for his first season is Luis Ramirez. A former Falcon himself in 2002, Ramirez spent 2017-20 as the head coach at Smidt Tech High in Los Angeles. During that time, he led the Grey Wolves to a pair of league championships and a combined record of 48-19-2. Additionally, Ramirez led the program to their first winning season in school history, while the league titles were also the first in their history.

Ramirez is also a club coach and has won two club league championships and eight tournament championships while serving as the coach at Strikers, CDA Slammers and FC Premier club teams. He is currently the FC Premier Director of Coaching and coaches three teams.

A four-year letterman at Lynwood High, Ramirez was a 1st Team All-CIF and 1st Team all-league selection during his high school career. After his one season with the Falcons, he went on to travel and play on the East Coast and Mexico with various semi-professional teams from Southern California.

Ramirez, 39, has four children, including Giselle, 17, who is a member of the Falcons this season. His other children, Sebastian (21), Fabian (20) and Camila (8) all play club soccer.
