In his second season as a member of the coaching staff, Rafael Verdin has 14 years of experience. Prior to joining the Falcons coaching staff, Verdin started working with the LA Galaxy as their equipment manager from 2010-19 and concurrently worked with the LA Galaxy Academy from 2018-19. While with the Galaxy, Verdin worked with superstars such as David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robbie Keene, Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole, Landon Donovan, Nigel De Long and more.

During that time, Verdin was also an assistant coach at Long Beach Millikan High from 2012-14.

Along with coaching on the Cerritos staff, Verdin has also coached at St. Joseph High since 2019 and helped them win the CIF Championship in 2022 and advanced to the state championships.

Verdin is also owner of RVFA Ready Summer Camp, which provides indoor soccer camps and private clinics.

A graduate of Long Beach Millikan High, Verdin played four years of soccer in high school and then spent two seasons playing at Cypress College.

Verdin, 32, and his wife Tiffany have been married for seven years and have four children – Statiago (7), Camila (5), Valeria (3) and Natalia (1). Verdin’s wife was a goalie on the Cerritos women’s soccer National Championship and State Championship team in 2008. They reside in Long Beach.
