Cerritos College Swimming (2013): Was a member of two school-record setting relay teams that earned All-America honors… Swam a leg of the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.11) and 200-yard medley (1:52.81) relay teams that finished 111th and ninth place at the state championships, respectively… Also took 12th place at the state championships as a member of the 400-yard medley relay (4:09.34) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:46.45)… As an individual, she came in seventh place at the South Coast Conference Championships in the 100-yard IM (1:07.22) and eighth in the 50-yard freestyle (26.06)…..
Cerritos College Water Polo (2012): Appeared in 10 games and scored four goals, with four assists and five steals… Posted a goal, assist and two steals against both Los Angeles Trade-Tech College and Citrus College… Also had a goal and an assist against American River College…..
Paramount HS: Spent four years on the water polo and swimming steams… While on the swim team, she was voted her team’s Most Valuable Player three years in a row and earned the Coaches Award as a junior and sophomore… Came in second place in the San Gabriel Valley League Championships in the 50-yard freestyle four years in a row, while also placing second in the 100-yard freestyle as a sophomore and freshman… Qualified for the CIF Finals as a senior and junior, while she also swam a leg of the school record 200-yard freestyle relay her freshman season…..
Personal: Most memorable moment was being a part of two school record at Cerritos her freshman year… Aspires to transfer to either Cal State Los Angeles or Cal State Fullerton… Is studying to be a sports rehab specialist… Hobbies include eating and sleeping… Has one brother – Armando (25)… Is the daughter of Armando and Lourdes Covarrubias… Born in Harbor City, CA on October 31, 1994…..
