Cerritos College Women’s Track & Field (2023): Qualified for the 3C2A State Championships in the 3000 meter steeplechase and finished 12th after taking ninth at the Southern California Championships with a personal best time of 12:44.49… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:41.98), 1500 meters (5:19.46), 1600 meters (5:59.17), 3000 meters (11:48.60) and 5000 meters (21:05.99) during the season…..

Cerritos College Women’s Cross Country (2023): Posted a time of 21:19.0 at the 3C2A State Championships to come in 98th place, while her time of 21:07.7 put her in 68th place at the Southern California Championships… Came in 21st place at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 21:45.9, while her clocking of 25:30.9 at the Bronco Invitational put her in 127th place… Finished in 55th place at the San Diego Mesa Invitational in a time of 21:43.2, while her time of 22:35.0 at the Golden West Invitational put her in 29th place… Posted a 35th place time of 20:45.7 at the SoCal Preview Meet, while she came in 32nd place at the Oxnard Invitational in a time of 21:12.4… Opened the season by placing 21st at the Fresno Invitational in a time of 21:40.0…..

Cerritos College Women’s Cross Country (2022): Came in 64th place at the CCCAA State Championships in a time of 20:50.5, while her time of 20:18.2 at the Southern California Championships put her in 46th place… Posted a 12th place time of 22.28.7 at the South Coast Conference Championships and finished in 107th place at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a time of 24:34.3… At the Manny Bautista Classic, she recorded a 43rd place time of 21:40.3 and came in fifth place with a time of 21:12.1 at the Coach Downey Invitational… Finished in 39th place with a time of 21:21.3 at the SoCal Preview Meet, while her time of 21:19.5 earned her a 16th place result at the Fresno International… Opened the season in 37th place at the Redlands Invitational with a time of 19:32.4…..

Lakewood HS: While on the track and field team, she was a three-year team captain… Finished sixth at the league championships in the 1600 meters (5:51.61) and was seventh in 3200 meters (12:45.09)… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:41.26)… Earned the Outstanding Senior, Team Spirit Award her junior year, Outstanding Sophomore and Outstanding Freshman awards while on the cross country team… Qualified for the CIF Prelims as a senior and placed 10th at the Moore League Championships with a personal best time of 20:27.6… Spent four years on the cross country and track and field teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were qualifying for the 3C2A State Championships in the steeplechase as a freshman and  advancing to the CIF Championships as a senior… Would like to transfer to either UC San Marcos or Cal State Los Angeles… Her father ran cross country and track and field in high school and then at Long Beach City College… Hobbies include rock climbing… Has one sibling – Gael (18)… Is the daughter of Miguel and Paola Chavez… Born in Long Beach, CA on October 15, 2003…..
