In a season where as many as six sophomores will sign with four-year schools, the Cerritos College basketball team has announced that their second player has inked with a college. Forward Jason Carter (View Park HS/Santa Monica College) has signed with Lindsey Wilson (KY) College, a private NAIA school. Carter joins Jonathan Guzman, who signed with Hope International University last week.

Jason Carter joins Falcon head coach Russ May as he signs his NLI An All-South Coast Conference South Division selection, Carter finished third on the team with a 9.8 scoring average and 5.4 rebounds, while he shot 49.6% from the field. He was a dominant force on the inside in the Falcons playoff win over Santiago Canyon College, as he converted 8-of-10 shots on his way to 20 points and 10 rebounds. He had accounted for eight points and three rebounds in the team's CCCAA State Quarterfinal win over Yuba College, but was injured and had to miss the Falcons semifinal game against San Francisco City College.

Carter (left, with Falcon head coach Russ May) posted a season-high 25 points in a win over Bakersfield College, while he scored in double-figures 13 times and recorded a pair of double-doubles.

He will be joining a Blue Raiders team that went 24-9 last season and won the Mid-South Conference Tournament. Lindsey Wilson qualified for the NAIA National Championship Tournament and were seeded #7, but was eliminated in the first round by #5-seed Carroll College, 61-53.
