With their 7-2 non-conference win at Saddleback College on Tuesday, the Cerritos College women's tennis team improved to 6-0 on the season. The Falcons resume South Coast Conference play on Thursday when they host Long Beach City College in a 2:00 p.m. match.

The bottom of the singles ladder dominated their competition, as the three players combined to lose just four games. The tandem of sophomore Jovana Milosevic (High School of Business and Law, Serbia/Hillsborough, FL CC) and freshman Danielle Pastor (Bishop Montgomery HS) earned 6-1, 6-1 wins in the #4 and #5 positions, respectively, while freshman Elizabeth Aceves (Downey HS) shut out Kimiya Ataiyan, 6-0, 6-0. It was the second win in as many matches this season for Aceves.

Sophomore Taylor Heath (Cerritos HS) posted a tough 7-6 win in the first set of her #1 singles match against Ashley Glick and went on to win the second set, 6-2. Freshman Tiffany Sanchez (Long Beach Wilson HS) posted a 6-2, 6-0 win and then teamed with Heath for an 8-2 doubles victory. Pastor and Aceves also won, 8-2 in doubles play, while Milosevic and freshman Valentina Polonyi (Altisa, Hungary) dropped an 8-2 decision.
