After helping lead the Cerritos College women's tennis team to the CCCAA State Dual Team Championship in 2016, Anastasia Khomyachenko has signed a National Letter of Intent. The native of Sochi, Russia has signed with the University of the District of Columbia, an NCAA Division II school.

In her two years with the Falcons, Khomyachenko was a two-time 1st Team All-South Coast Conference selection in singles and 2nd Team pick in doubles. She helped the team post a 25-1 record as a sophomore, which included a 5-1 win over DeAnza College to clinch the team championship. Khomyachenko was also a two-time state qualifier in both singles and doubles play. She recorded a combined 38-12 singles record while playing primarily as the #2 player, as well as a 37-14 doubles mark.

"Anastasia Khomyachenko was an ESL student five semesters ago, and now she'll command an AA in a foreign language," said head coach Alvin Kim. "She played #2 on our first ever State Championship team, and to see her move on like this is truly incredible. She will now be studying 15 minutes from the White House at UDC."
