In their final regular season match, the Cerritos College volleyball team needed just an hour to sweep visiting Los Angeles Harbor, 25-9, 25-11, 25-11 on Wednesday night. The Falcons (14-8, 11-3), who finished in second place in the South Coast Conference, will find out on Sunday of they were selected as one of the 16 teams to compete in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. It would be the team's first post-season appearance since 2009, while their second place finish is their best since the 2006 season.

Cerritos took early leads in each of the three games and were never tested by the Seahawks (2-16, 0-14). The team led 9-3 from the outset and rode their momentum to a convincing first set win. Five service aces paved the way, while the team hit a combined .269. A 9-0 lead in the second game set the tone, as five players recorded at least one kill, as the Falcons also added six more service aces.

Freshman Jasmine Peralta (Lakewood HS) was up to four aces by the end of the second game  and finished the night tied with sophomore Lisa Villarroel (Long Beach Millikan HS/LBCC).
