For the second time in five days, the Cerritos College women's water polo team defeated Pasadena City College. Last Friday, the Falcons handed the Lancers a 15-8 setback at the Pasadena Tournament and followed that with a 16-4 South Coast Conference win on Wednesday. Next week, Cerritos (6-13, 2-3) will host a conference doubleheader, as they face Rio Hondo College (3:00 p.m.) and East Los Angeles College (5:15 p.m.) at the Falcon Aquatic Center.

In the most recent win over Pasadena City (1-12, 1-5), the Falcons took a 6-1 lead at the end of the first period, which included three straight goals by sophomore Carla Harvey (Potomac Falls, VA HS). It was three of her team-high seven goals on the day. The lead extended to 11-1 by halftime and Cerritos went on for the easy win.

Joining Harvey with a good game was sophomore Celeste Ibarra (Gahr HS), who scored five times, while freshman Breanna Zuniga (California HS) posted three goals and assisted on five others. Defensively, Harvey came up with four steals, while Ibarra had three steals. Freshman goalie Kristin Park (Cerritos HS) had six saves on the win.
