Cerritos College Beach Volleyball (2024): Played in the #2 doubles position with Jasmine Soto and they went a combined 6-10 on the season, while she went 0-1 when teaming with Emily Gutierrez…..

Cerritos College Volleyball (2024): Named 2nd Team All-South Coast Conference South Division… Appeared in all 24 matches and finished the season with 84 kills, while adding 93 digs, 39 blocks, 20 assists and 10 service aces… Had at least one kill in all but one match, which included a season-high eight kills against College of the Canyons… Recorded at least five kills in 10 matches… Turned in a season-high 11 digs against Saddleback College, while she had five blocks against Moorpark College and Pasadena City College…..

Cerritos College Volleyball (2023): Saw action in 20 matches and played in 58 sets… Finished the season with 98 kills, 39 digs and a pair of assists… Posted four double-figures in kills in four matches, including a season-high 13 kills against East Los Angeles College… Also had 12 kills against Bakersfield College in the Southern California Regional Playoffs… Had a season-high 11 digs in another match against East Los Angeles, while turning in nine against El Camino College…..

Schurr HS: Played for Commerce Crush club team… Was a two-time 2nd Team All-CIF selection and All-Almont League choice… Helped the team to two straight undefeated league seasons and championships… Team also went undefeated in league player as a freshman… Did not have a sophomore year due to Covid… Was a member of the volleyball team for four seasons, as well as three years on the track and field team and played beach volleyball for two years…..

Personal: Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… Hobbies include playing volleyball and hiking… Aspires to be a trainer for a major league baseball team… Has four siblings – Carlos (32), Brenda (26), Celine (19) and Wardo… Is the daughter of Valentin Cortez and Veronica Espitia… Born in Monterey Park, CA on March 21, 2005…..
