Joining the coaching staff is Eric Beranek, who has a very extensive history with beach volleyball, as well as indoor volleyball as a player and coach.

During his playing days, Beranek was a community college athlete, as he played indoor volleyball at Orange Coast College in 2015. He then embarked on a professional career that included qualifying for the AVP Tournament in Seattle in 2018 and followed that by winning the Hermosa Beach AVP Tournament as the main draw. During that season, he also qualified for the AVP Tournaments in both Chicago and Manhattan Beach. He followed that season by being one of the Top 10 players on the AVP Tour in 2019. He was also named the 2019 Volleyball Magazine Breakthrough Player of the Year, while also receiving the Hardest Worker Award the same year. During the season, he placed third at the Manhattan Beach Tournament and fifth at the Waikiki Tournament.

In 2020, Beranek won both the Beach National Championship and Grass National Championship, while he earned a Bronze Medal at the 2021 Costa Rica Invitational.

His coaching experience includes leading the Redondo Union High team to the IBVL championship in 2016, which was his first coaching assignment. He is also the only player and coach to win multiple IBVL championships (three) for both the boys and girls teams at Mira Costa High. From 2016-17, he was an assistant to Matt Fuerbringer, Alfred Reft and Aaron Wong, who both a bronze (2016) and silver medal (2017) for the 14’s Rockstars at the Junior Olympics.

Beranek has also coached multiple club teams, which include Mizuno and MB Sand Volleyball Club (2020-23). In 2022, he was the AVP Atlanta Coach that led his team of Geena Urango and Julia Scoles to the championship. He has also served as served as a trainer for Olympic Gold Medalists Kerri Walsh and April Ross leading up to the Brazil Olympics.

Beranek is 27 and resides in Redondo Beach.
