A member of the Falcons indoor and beach volleyball coaching staff, Monique (Gayton) Scott was a 1st Team All-South Coast Conference pick as a sophomore in 2009 and earned 2nd Team All-South Coast Conference honors in her 2003 freshman campaign. As a sophomore, she was also voted the team's Most Valuable Player and captain, while statistically she dished out 671 assists to go along with 88 digs, 64 kills, 28 blocks and 25 service aces. In her freshman year, Scott posted 390 assists, 112 digs, 48 kills and 17 aces. Upon graduating, she then transferred to Hope International University, where she was an All-Conference setter and team captain.

Scott has been coaching almost exclusively at the high school level, which includes the last 12 years as the boys and girls coach at La Serna High. She has also coached at Santa Fe High, La Mirada High and Cypress High during her career. During her tenure, she was named the league's Coach of the Year five times, as well as CIF Coach of the Year in 2017. During the 2021 season, she assisted at Mt. San Antonio College and helped them to a #7-ranking in the state.

A graduate of LA Serna High, Scott helped the volleyball team win three league championships and was voted her team's Most Valuable Player and captain. As a basketball player, Scott was a four-time all-league selection, earned the Best Defensive Player award and helped them win a pair of league championships.

Scott, 37, earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Hope International University and Ashford University in 2012. She and her husband were married on January 11, 2023 and they reside in Long Beach.
