The Cerritos College football program has announced that six of their players are moving on to the next level. On the first day of National Signing Day, the Falcons have five of their six heading to Division I schools, with three of them defensive linemen. A fourth defensive player is taking a Division I trip this weekend, as well.

Record-breaking quarterback Jimmy Walker (Redlands HS) is already enrolled and in spring practive at San Diego State University, while the state's leading punter, Corey Bojorquez (Mayfair HS) has signed with the University of New Mexico. Long snapper/tight end Jack Van Dam (Valencia HS) will be moving on the Midland (NE) University.

As for Price, he finished the season with 49 tackles and led the team with 10.5 quarterback sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss. He also led the team with three forced fumbles. Fangupo had 49 tackles, with 12.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks and forced a pair of fumbles. He also had seven hurries, blocked two kicks, broke up three passes and picked off a pass. Bojorquez led the state with a 43.8 average on 44 punts and dropped 14 of his punts inside the 20-yard line.

Walker set new school records for most passing yards in a season (2,997), most passing yards in a season (5,320), most passing touchdowns in a career (55), while his 30 scoring strikes this season were one shy of tying the school record. Harry tied for second on the team with 64 tackles and also added 11 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He also led the team with eight quarterback hurries. 

This weekend, cornerback and kick returner D.J. Reed (Independence, Bakersfield HS), will be taking a trip to Kansas State University. Several weeks ago, cornerback Thadd Daniels (Lynwood HS) signed with Iowa State University.
