Continuing the long-standing tradition of sending wide receivers to Division I colleges, the name of Jaceon Doss can be added to that list. The St. John Bosco High grad was a unanimous 1st Team All-National Division Central League selection for the Cerritos college football team, as well as a 1st Team All-California Region III pick. He's also the 10th player to commit to a four-year college and the ninth Division I signing.

A qualifier out of high school, Doss concluded the 2022 season leading the team with 41 receptions for 848 receiving yards and averaged 20.7 yards a catch to go along with a team-high 12 touchdowns. He ended the season with seven catches for 146 yards and a touchdown in the Western State Bowl against Long Beach City College. It was his fourth 100-yard receiving game of the year, which included a season-high 191 yards and three touchdowns against Palomar College. His 848 yards were the fourth most in a season in school history.

Doss joins another Falcon qualifier out of high school, offensive tackle Edward Fonua, who also signed with the Bulldogs. The two will have three years of eligibility remaining. Cerritos has now sent 31 players to Fresno State in their history, with Doss being the third wide receiver. Included in that list is Bulldogs head coach Jeff Tedford, who was a quarterback for the Falcons from 1979-80.

Since 2000, Cerritos College has sent 19 wide receivers to Division I colleges.
