In their final game of 2019, the Cerritos College men's basketball team made the trip north to Porterville College and came away with a 72-69 win on Saturday. The win was the second in a row for the Falcons, who evened their record to 7-7. They will play their next three games at home, starting with a 6:00 p.m. South Coast Conference crossover game against Mt. San Antonio College.

In the win over the Pirates (7-7), which was their first meeting since 1997, Cerritos had four players score in double-figures to lead them in the win. It was a back and forth game, with both teams taking the lead multiple times. The Falcons received 19 points and eight rebounds from freshman Jaishon Forte (Rancho Verde HS), while sophomore Jeremiah Galang (Narbonne HS) drained a trio of three-pointers to help him finish with 12 points.

Coming off the bench, freshman Dorian Harris (Cerritos HS) netted 13 points and hauled in six rebounds, with sophomore Daelyn Bams (Villa Park HS) accounting for eight points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots. Sophomore Jalen Washington (Bishop Montgomery HS) contributed eight points, six rebounds and four assists.
