Santa Monica College: Attended the school, but they don’t have a wrestling team…..

Palisades HS: Was a three-time CIF Champion and placed fifth at the state championships at 195 pounds as a senior… Also won the USS Midway Tournament and West Coast Classic championships… Went 28-5 his senior year after a 43-5 season his junior year where he also qualified for the state championships… Spent four years on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he came back to beat the eventual state champion, 10-9 in a match… Would like to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo… Comes from a family where everyone plays soccer… Hobbies include basketball… Has three siblings – Yasra (17), Zubaidah (16) and Mohammed (15)… Is the son of Raed Akawdi and Nadia Shaheen… Born in Iraq on August 25, 2000…..
