On Friday, the Cerritos College women's swimming team competed in their final South Coast Conference dual meet. The Falcons (4-4) earned a 156-97 win over Los Angeles Trade-Tech College, while they suffered a 152-96 loss to Pasadena City College. The team will take two weeks off before competing in the South Coast Conference Championships, which will take place on April 19-21 at Mt. San Antonio College.

On the day, Cerritos had a pair of individual first place finishers, as sophomore Breanna Zuniga (California HS) captured the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:50.83, while sophomore Vanessa Perez (Sonora HS) easily defeated the field in the 200-yard freestyle. Her time of 2:19.44 was 14 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Zuniga also posted a second place time of 6:23.78 in the 500-yard freestyle, with Perez turning in a time of 1:04.04 to place second in the 100-yard freestyle.

Sophomore Jackie Oliveros (Gahr HS) posted three individual second place finishes for the Falcons, while she also swam the first leg of the 200-yard medley relay. In the 100-yard backstroke, Oliveros recorded a time of 1:11.70, while her time of 2:32.99 in the 200-yard backstroke put her in second place. She also took second in the 200-yard IM with a clocking of 2:37.42. She was joined by freshman Megan Hernandez (Keystone Academy HS), sophomore Lindsay deHaas (Hacienda Heights Wilson HS) and freshman Karol Martinez (Warren HS) to record a second place finish in the 200-yard medley at 2:22.82.

Zuniga also earned second place points for Cerritos in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 3:01.09, while deHaas posted a third place time of 3:12.08. In the 50-yard freestyle, Perez was edged out of second place by Pasadena City's Dian Kim with her time of 28.02, while Perez finished in 28.31, good for third place. In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Perez, Zuniga sophomore Adrianna Foss (Cornelia Connelly HS) and freshman Lesly Madrid (Long Beach Jordan HS) took second place in 4:42.01.
