Coming off a freshman year where he was a 1st Team All-State and a 1st Team All-SCFA Northern Division selection, defensive tackle David Moala (Serra HS) has been named as a pre-season All-American. Moala, a red-shirt bounce-back from Arizona State University, has been selected by College Football America after a successful freshman year where he finished third on the Falcons with 49 total tackles, along with 7.5 tackles for loss and four quarterback sacks.

As part of a defensive line that saw five sophomores earn scholarships to the four-year level, Moala (6-2, 315) is being heavily recruited heading into the 2013 season. In 2012, Moala recorded a season-high eight tackles in each of the final two games of the season, including a season-high 2 1/2 tackles for loss against Moorpark College in the finale. He also had seven tackles and 1 1/2 tackles for loss against Los Angeles Harbor College.
