Keith McGill, who was a part of the biggest play in Cerritos College football history, was drafted in the 4th Round by the Oakland Raiders in the 2014 NFL Draft on Saturday. McGill, who played at the University of Utah as a safety and cornerback, was the 116th overall pick in the draft.

Back in 2010, the Falcon football team pulled out a 27-21 win over Bakersfield College when McGill blocked a Josh Gallington 47-yard field goal attempt on the last play of the game. The score was tied, 21-21 and a made field goal would have won the game for the Renegades. But McGill was able to use his 6-foot-3 body to block the kick, with Tyrone Taylor racing to the live ball at the Cerritos three-yard lie and began maneuvering through the Bakersfield team. After breaking two tackles, it looked like Taylor was going to be brought down before raching the end zone. Just as he was about to be tackled by Jared Hood, Tayler lateraled the ball to McGill at the Renegade 35-yard line and raced into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.

"I was behind him (Taylor) yelling, 'pass it back, pass it back," said McGill at the time. "He finally did and I caught ball and scored."

As a sophomore, McGill was voted as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year, while also being named 1st Team All-American and 1st Team All-State. He led the team with seven interceptions for 203 return yards and a touchdown, while he posted 37 tackles, five pass break-ups and two blocked kicks.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound McGill came to Utah as a safety before switching to corner his senior season, when he was named honorable mention All-Pac-12 after leading the conference in pass breakups with 12 and finishing second in passes defended per game (1.08).

Prior to 2014, when he started in all 12 games, McGill's first two seasons at Utah were disrupted by injuries. He played in five games at free safety his first season in 2011 before suffering a season-ending injury, and another injury cost him the entire 2012 season. He returned to the field as a cornerback and his 37 total tackles in 2014 included 28 solo stops.
