In her final event as a member of the Cerritos College women's swimming team, Amanda Loya won the consolation championship in the 200-yard breaststroke at the CCCAA State Championships.
Swimming one of her strongest events, Cerritos College sophomore swimmer Amanda Loya took sixth place in the 100-yard breaststroke at the CCCAA State Championships on Friday.
Led by three school records and one individual championship, the Cerritos College women's swimming team finished in fourth place at the South Coast Conference Championships, which were held at East Los Angeles College.
On the second day of the South Coast Conference Championships, Cerritos College sophomore swimmer Amanda Loya added an individual championship to her school record.
On the first day of the South Coast Conference Championships at East Los Angeles College, Cerritos College sophomore Amanda Loya set a new school record in the 200-yard IM.
Led by sophomore Amanda Loya's three individual first place finishes, as well as one relay win, the Cerritos College women's swimming team defeated both Long Beach City College (138.5-127.5) and Rio Hondo College (211-55) in their South Coast Conference meet on Friday.
With their 605 team points and five first place finishes, the Cerritos College women's swimming team won the Waterman Festival at Palomar College on Saturday.
