On the second day of the San Diego Mesa Tournament, the Cerritos College women's water polo team suffered a pair of defeats. The Falcons (5-10) dropped games to both Ventura College (9-6) and Citrus College (14-4). They return home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. to host Chaffey College in a South Coast Conference match.

Cerritos vs. Ventura: It was a six-goal second period by the Pirates that hurt the Falcons the most, as the team was unable to find the back of the net offensively. Additionally, 18 turnovers hurt the team's chance of getting back in the game, although they took a 2-0 lead after the first period. Freshman Valerie Barboza (Paramount HS) scored a pair of goals in a losing cause, while sophomore goalie Amanda Rabb (Gahr HS) posted eight blocks and recorded a pair of steals. Freshman Jenny Parra (Schurr HS) led the team with five steals in the game.

Cerritos vs. Citrus: The Falcons could never get on track in their game against the Owls, as they fell behind 5-1 after the first period and trailed 6-2 at intermission. The defense played well in that second period, but Citrus made the necessary adjustments in the second half and pulled away for the win. The duo of Parra and freshman Vanessa Hinojosa (Bell Gardens HS) each scored twice, with Rabb making seven blocks.
