As part of the college's Measure G Bond, Cerritos College has built team rooms, which will provide 11 teams with their own private team rooms. The $47.8 million bond has already provided the college with a new Kinesiology Building, Conference Center, Dance Building, Weight Room, Fitness Center, Physical Education classes and Student Health Center. Those teams who will have
access to the team room include: men's soccer, women's soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's aquatics and women's aquatics.
The rooms are equipped with with lockers for all the players. They also have TV's mounted in each room with capabilities of showing game films, and dry erase boards. They will have access to a general facility that will have restrooms and showers on each side for the men's and women's teams.
"We are excited with the addition of the Falcon Team Rooms!" stated Athletic Director Maria Castro. "This is a much-needed space for our athletic teams to gather, strategize, and develop into champions."
The 13,358-square foot facility, which includes the new Student Health Center, will be flanked by a turf field that is going to be utilized for outdoor fitness stations that will correspond with the weight room classes.
Tilden Coil Constructors, Inc, which is responsible for building the majority of the new structures on campus, also built the Fine Arts and DSPS facility and are currently working on the new Burnight Center.
