La Mirada HS: Was a CIF qualifier on the 200-yard freestyle relay team as a senior… Also competed in the 50-yard freestyle (25.12), 50-yard butterfly (27.31), 100-yard freestyle (54.17) and 100-yard butterfly (59.12)… Voted his team’s Most Valuable Player as a junior… Was also on the cross country and soccer teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he posted his personal best time in the 100-yard butterfly at the league championships… Would like to transfer to UCLA, Stanford or UC Davis and aspires to be either a physician or surgeon… Likes to go surfing, work on cars and compete in triathlons… Nicknamed “Dre” and “Andy”… Has one sibling  Catherine (35)... Is the son of Jorge Ludena and Susana Velarde… Born on September 17, 1992…..
