Cerritos College Swimming (2012): Served as a red-shirt…..

Cerritos College Swimming (2011): Swam a leg of the 200-yard medley relay team that won the South Coast Conference championships, as well as a leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay team and 400-yard medley relay team that placed third in the conference championships... Was the anchor swimmer in the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished in fourth place… The 200-yard freestyle relay team, set a new school record with a time of 1:27.39… Also competed in the 50-yard freestyle (22.31), 100-yard freestyle (49.18), 100-yard backstroke (57.85), 200-yard freestyle (1:57.93)

Kennedy HS: While on the swimming team, he specialized in the 50-yard freestyle (22.10), 100-yard freestyle (48.8) and 100-yard backstroke (59.90)… Named his school’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Athlete of the Year as a senior… Helped the swim team win the first league championships in school history his senior season after being named 2nd Team all-league and was a CIF Qualifier as a junior… Led the water polo team in scoring two years in a row and was named 1st Team All-CIF and 1st Team All-Empire League… Team also voted him their Most Valuable Player and Team Captain as a senior after accounting for 103 goals and 26 assists… Was a 2nd Team All-CIF pick his junior year, making him the first in school’s history in 20 years… Also selected 1st Team all-league and was their captain after scoring 72 goals and added 34 assists… Posted 38 goals with 28 assists as a sophomore and was the team’s captain, while he accounted for 54 goals his freshman season… Spent four years on the water polo and swimming teams…..

Personal: Most memorable was when he posted his personal best times in swimming and when he looked at the crowd after finishing first in the final relay race at the league finals… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach, San Diego State University or San Francisco State University and aspires to be a certified public accountant… Voted the school’s Homecoming King… His father swam in college in the Philippines, while his mother was a track athlete in college… Hobbies include weight lifting and boxing… Has one sibling – Feliz (19)… Is the son of Ed and Angela Hidalgo… Born in Bellflower, CA on February 22, 1992…..
