Downey HS: Advanced to the CIF Meet in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00) as a senior and junior… Also advanced in the 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay as a senior… Voted the Team Captain… Also competed in the 50-yard freestyle (22.0) and 100-yard freestyle (52.0)… Spent three years on the swimming team and was on the wrestling team as a freshman…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he came back from an injury his junior year and advanced to CIF in the 100-yard backstroke… Is working on a minor in criminal justice… Aspires to be either a dental hygienist or a highway patrol officer… Hobbies include sleeping and swimming… Has three sisters… Is the son of Barbara Rodriguez… Born in Long Beach, CA on September 13, 1990…..
