Paramount HS: Swam a leg of the 200-yard IM and freestyle relay teams that qualified for the CIF Championships as a senior, while the medley team qualified his junior year… Was a member of the San Gabriel Valley League championship team as a sophomore… Placed third at the league championships in the breaststroke and fourth in the IM… Spent three seasons on the swimming team and one year on the water polo team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he turned in his personal best time in the 50-yard freestyle (22.56) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.30)… His brother Antonio (31) was a member of the Cypress College swimming team… Has another brother – Christian (18)… Hobbies include competing in triathlons… Nicknamed “Papas”… Is the son of Antonio and Victoria Martinez… Born in Bellflower, CA on July 28, 1996…..
