Downey HS: Was a member of four San Gabriel Valley League championship teams… Voted the team’s Most Improved Player as a senior after earning their Most Valuable Player as a junior and sophomore… Specialized in the 50-yard freestyle (22.1), while also swimming a leg of the team’s 4x50-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay… Spent four years on the swimming team and three seasons on the water polo team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he recorded his personal best time in the 50-yard freestyle at the CIF Finals… Would like to transfer to USC… Hobbies include working out… Is the son of Hugo and Melea Medina…..
